1) What is dye-sublimation printing?
Dye-sublimation is a process that prints on sublimation paper first, then uses a heat press (calendar or flat heat press) to transfer the image into polyester-based materials.
2) Do I need a heat press machine for sublimation?
Yes. A heat press is required to transfer the print from paper to the final material.
3) What materials can I print on?
Best results are on polyester-based fabrics and polyester-coated substrates. Cotton is not suitable for standard dye-sublimation transfer.
4) What is the recommended polyester content?
Higher polyester content gives stronger color and better durability. For vivid results, polyester is usually recommended.
5) What is the difference between sublimation printer and DTF printer?
Sublimation is mainly for polyester-based materials with a heat transfer step. DTF can be applied to a wider range of fabrics (including cotton) using film transfer.
6) Can this printer print directly on fabric?
Standard sublimation printers print on sublimation paper. Direct-to-fabric sublimation requires different configurations and a different workflow.
7) Can I get printing samples before ordering?
Yes. You can send your design file and application details. We can provide sample printing for evaluation.
8) What information is needed for an accurate quotation?
Please share your target applications, required print width, expected daily output, preferred printhead configuration, and destination address (for shipping estimate).
9) What is the warranty and after-sales support?
Warranty terms and coverage can be confirmed in the quotation. We provide remote support and setup guidance, and on-site service can be arranged if needed.
